Fresh-faced newcomer Julia de Nunez brings the iconic Brigitte Bardot to visceral, plaintive life in her very first screen performance, opposite the equally charismatic Victor Belmondo (Jean-Paul\u2019s grandson), who plays writer\/director Roger Vadim. Touting an all-star French cast, the six-episode biopic series traces the life of the \u201950s \u201cFrench bombshell,\u201d from her first audition at 15, through her explosive international breakout in Vadim\u2019s risqu\u00e9 1957 \u2026And\u00a0God Created Woman, to her powerful performance in Henri-Georges Cluzot\u2019s\u00a0Truth\u00a0in 1960. Bardot is more than a myth in her native country \u2014 \u201csex kitten,\u201d Marianne (the national personification of liberty), unrelenting animal rights activist, and what Simone de Beauvoir called \u201cthe most liberated woman in post-war France,\u201d all rolled into one.
