Real-life biker Julie Ledru comes blazing onto the big screen like a 21st century\u00a0rebel without a cause in\u00a0Lola Quivoron\u2018s\u00a0high-octane\u00a0first feature,\u00a0Rodeo.\u00a0 Her character Julia is more spitfire than\u00a0easy rider.\u00a0 Filled with rage at the world all around her, Julia spends her days repeating the same scam over and over, and has but one dream: to become part of a reckless gang of dirt bikers who perform wheelies and other breakneck stunts at illicit motocross rodeos.\u00a0 \u201cI was born with a bike between my legs,\u201d she exclaims.\u00a0\u00a0Julia seems to be after some sort of exhilarating spiritual liberation, but acceptance into such a brotherhood has a price, and the all-boys club wants nothing to do with her.\u00a0Single-minded in her pursuit, Julia will do whatever it takes \u2014 steal bikes or pick up the head-honcho\u2019s groceries \u2014 no matter the risk.
