After killing an Arab, Meursault&#8217;s indifference to social norms and apparent lack of grief at his mother&#8217;s funeral are scrutinized in minute detail during his trial. After earning a Master&#8217;s degree in cinema studies, Ozon attended La Femis film school and began to churn out inventive shorts, like <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Summer Dress<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (1996), which won the Best Narrative Short Award at L.A. Outfest and was nominated for a C\u00e9sar Award. His first feature, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sitcom<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, premiered in Cannes in 1998.
