Synopsis<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Marianne \u2014 literally <\/span>the<\/span><\/i> richest woman in the world \u2014 is smitten by flamboyant photographer Pierre-Alain at first sight. Immediately inseparable, the twosome soon arouse family suspicions when the younger man begins spinning his web, monopolizing Marianne’s life… and progressively siphoning her vast wealth. An appropriately blas\u00e9 Isabelle Huppert and a deliciously over-the-top Laurent Lafitte lead a superb ensemble cast in this fictionalized re-telling of the infamous 2010 Bettencourt scandal, in which heiress Liliane Bettencourt so generously gifted many millions to her prot\u00e9g\u00e9, Fran\u00e7ois-Marie Banier.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Journalist-turned-filmmaker <\/span>Thierry Klifa<\/b> began his career interviewing actors and directors for <\/span>Studio<\/span><\/i> magazine. He made his first short, <\/span>Emilie est partie<\/span><\/i>, featuring screen legend Danielle Darrieux, in 2001. He went on to direct five features,<\/span> Une vie \u00e0 t’attendre <\/span><\/i>(2004)<\/span>; Family Hero <\/span><\/i>(COLCOA 2007)<\/span>, His<\/span><\/i> Mother’s Eyes<\/span><\/i> (COLCOA 2011), <\/span>All That Divides Us<\/span><\/i> (2017), and <\/span>Rachel’s Game<\/span><\/i> (2023).
