It all begins when Mehdi, a working-class kid who&#8217;s just graduated from law school, is invited to vacation with his girlfriend&#8217;s wealthy parents in the south of France. When her arrogant father (Laurent Lafitte, also seen in this year&#8217;s TAFFF program in <em>The Richest Woman in the World<\/em>) offends their proletariat live-in caretaker, tensions spiral out of control between the two families. And Mehdi suddenly finds himself in the role of negotiator&#8230; with the film&#8217;s superb cast relishing every farcical moment along the way.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #660084;\">Director&#8217;s biography<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fascinated by the notion of social class from the get-go, director <strong>Antony Cordier<\/strong> dedicated his first film, the documentary <em>Beau comme un camion<\/em> (2000), about the evolution of the working class, to his own working-class family. His first narrative feature, <em>Cold Showers<\/em> (2005), exploring the sexualization of class relationships, d\u00e9buted in the Cannes Directors&#8217; Fortnight, nabbed the Prix Louis Delluc, and the film&#8217;s lead, Johan Lib\u00e9reau, won the Most Promising Actor C\u00e9sar Award. His <em>Four Lovers<\/em> (2010) premiered in Competition at the Venice Film Festival.
