Synopsis<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Twenty-five-year-old Sprite, has only two months left to get his driver’s license, but doesn’t have the cash for the necessary driving lessons. So he gets a job working for Allo Nettoyo, a post-party, all-night cleaning service in the Paris suburbs. But without a license, he has one hell of a time getting from town to town on public transportation. So his driving instructor (the ever-fearless Emmanuelle Bercot, with her ever-perfect comic timing) turns him onto the tried-and-true “baise-en-ville” technique, which involves hooking up with local girls on dating apps and crashing at their places. However, shy Sprite is no Don Juan and struggles with assuming that role.<\/span><\/p>\n

Director’s Biography<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Autodidact writer\/director\/actor <\/span>Martin Jauvat<\/b> began by directing and producing his own shorts in his hometown of Chelles, an eastern suburb of Paris, and <\/span>frequently performs in short films, including most of his own<\/span>. <\/span>His first professionally-produced short,\u00a0<\/span>The Blood in the Vein<\/span><\/i> (2021),<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/i>was selected to be screened at several film festivals, including the 2022 C\u00e9sar short-film competition. His first feature film,\u00a0<\/span>Grand Paris<\/span><\/i>, was presented in the ACID program at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. <\/span>Baise-en-ville<\/i><\/b>, his second feature, won the 2024 Prix de la Cr\u00e9ation from the Gan Foundation for Cinema, and premiered in the Critic’s Week section of this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
