Synopsis<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Sick of being sick, 80-year-old Marie has an alternative plan. In remission for eight years, her cancer is back and has now reached stage four. She’s definitely not going to spend her final days in chemotherapy. Not again. So she ropes Rudy, an unsuspecting eldercare worker, into driving her to Switzerland for an assisted suicide procedure. Yet she can’t bring herself to tell her son or her granddaughter the truth. What ensues is a tragicomic, heartfelt, dysfunctional-family road trip with as many laughs as tears. And the chemistry between actors H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Vincent and Pierre Lottin \u2014 reunited after Fran\u00e7ois Ozon’s 2024 <\/span>When Fall Is Coming<\/span><\/i> \u2014 is, as ever, a pleasure to behold.<\/span><\/p>\n

Director’s Biography<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The daughter of comic-turned-filmmaker Olivier Baroux, <\/span>Enya Baroux <\/b>began her career as an actress, appearing in 24 episodes of the series <\/span>Studio Bagel<\/span><\/i> (2015-2025) and Fran\u00e7ois Descraques’ feature <\/span>The Visitor from the Future<\/span><\/i> (2022). She wrote and directed three shorts of her own, then co-wrote and co-directed <\/span>Cache-Cash<\/span><\/i> (2019) with Martin Darondeau, which won two prizes at the Meudon Short Film Festival.
