Here, the ever-delightful Fran\u00e7ois Civil stars as D&#8217;Artagnan, a young swordsman who travels to Paris from the provinces with a dream of becoming a prestigious musketeer. Awkwardly insulting the king&#8217;s three veteran musketeers \u2014 Athos, Porthos and Aramis \u2014 en route, he suddenly finds himself in a dual with all three simultaneously&#8230; Until the enemies become fast friends and join forces to fight off a whole string of bad guys who are in cahoots to undermine the monarchy. The film was a critical and box-office triumph when it opened theatrically in France last April, and its eagerly-awaited second installment is scheduled for release in December.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The son of French producer Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Bourboulon, <strong>Martin Bourboulon<\/strong> directed his first short film, <em>Sale Hasard<\/em>, in 2007. He went on to direct the TV series <em>Un journ\u00e9e dehouf<\/em> (2005) and numerous commercials. He made his foray into feature films with the wildly popular <em>Daddy or Mommy<\/em> (2015) and its sequel, <em>Divorce French Style<\/em> (2016), which was followed by <em>Eiffel<\/em>, (COLCOA 2021). <strong><em>The Three Musketeers:D&#8217;Artagnan<\/em><\/strong> was named Best Film of 2023 by <em>The Guardian<\/em>.
