From M\u00e5ns M\u00e5rlind and Bj\u00f6rn Stein, the creative duo behind\u00a0The Bridge<\/em>(and its adaptation,\u00a0The Tunnel<\/em>) and co-directors of\u00a0Underworld: The Awakening<\/em>\u00a0comes this new Nordic Noir, the first ever television co-production between Sweden and France. Set in the struggling mining hamlet of Kiruna, Sweden\u2019s northernmost town, the 8-part series begins with an elaborate and brutal killing of a French citizen. To investigate the mysterious crime French detective Kahina Zadi (Le\u00efla Bekhti,\u00a0A Prophet<\/em>) teams up with local Swedish prosecutor, Anders Harnesk (Gustaf Hammarsten,\u00a0The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo<\/em>). As the body count rises, Zadi and Harnesk realize that the killings mirror a ritual of the indigenous Sami (Laplander) people. In the eternal twilight of the Arctic Circle, the two investigators are drawn into Sami culture and beliefs, one of which warns that a storm is coming that will destroy everything.<\/p>\n
