Eric Elmosnino (Gainsbourg: A Heroic Life<\/em>, COLCOA 2010) marshals his talents to the role of a destitute father struggling to keep custody of his son in this social drama highlighting the issue of economic precarity. Ten year-old Tom is ordinary in most respects \u2013 a good student and a happy child. But while his friends go home to apartments and houses, Tom takes the parking garage stairs to space number 27, where he and his widowed father Vincent have fashioned a makeshift home. In these grim circumstances their unwavering love for one another is their greatest strength, but when Child Protection Services gets wind of the situation, they find themselves up against a system determined to separate them.\u00a0 Case manager Patricia wants to help, but how far is she willing to go? Winner of the Special Jury and Best Male Performance prizes at the 2016 Fiction TV Festival of La Rochelle.<\/p>\n

Director\u00a0Arnaud S\u00e9lignac<\/strong>\u00a0is a busy man. Since his debut feature\u00a0Nemo<\/em>in 1983 he has shifted his priorities to television, where his output has been enormous, directing as many as four TV movies in a year. He is perhaps best known for his 2006 TF1 TV movie\u00a0La chasse \u00e0 l’homme<\/em>(Mesrine), about the charismatic criminal mastermind Jacques Mesrine. \u00a0S\u00e9lignac\u2019s second feature film\u00a0Gawin<\/em>\u00a0 (1991), which he co-wrote with Alexandre Jardin, was nominated for Best Film at the Fantasporto International Fantasy Film Festival. S\u00e9lignac moves effortlessly between TV movies and TV series direction, and has worked in a wide variety of genres, from the period adventure of\u00a0Rani<\/em>\u00a0(2011-), to the comedy of\u00a0Doc Martin<\/em>\u00a0(2011-).<\/p>\n
