After living together for 10 years, now with two kids and a pooch they adore, Romane and Philippe are no longer in love. But they still care about one another. Maybe too much to split up completely. So, to the utter bewilderment of all their loved ones, they decide to create the &#8220;separtment&#8221; \u2014 two separate apartments, each of which adjoins the kid&#8217;s bedroom. That unconventional set-up proves to be miraculous in all sorts of ways. The tensions between them all but disappear. Now they&#8217;re dear friends. And the kids are thrilled to have both parents at home. But that doesn&#8217;t make their daily lives any less wacky.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Raised by her father, actor Richard Bohringer, Romane Bohringer grew up on film sets, imagining that she&#8217;d become a screenwriter or camerawoman when she grew up. Nevertheless, she made her on-screen debut at 10, alongside her father, in <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La B\u00eate noire<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (1983), and soon turned to the theater, playing Miranda in Peter Brook&#8217;s staging of Shakespeare&#8217;s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Tempest<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Her breakout film was opposite Cyril Collard in his powerful AIDS drama, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Savage Nights<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (1992), which nabbed four C\u00e9sar Awards, including Best Film and a Most Promising Actress Award for Bohringer. She has appeared in 84 films, among them Claude Miller&#8217;s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Accompanist<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (1992), Martine Dugowson&#8217;s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mina Tannenbaum<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (1994), Agnieszka Holland&#8217;s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Total Eclipse<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (1995), Richard Bohringer&#8217;s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The City Is Beautiful at Night<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (2006), and Alain Tasma&#8217;s TV movie <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le Viol<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (2017).
