As Heraclitus warns, &#8220;It is difficult to fight anger; for a man will buy revenge with his soul.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The youngest son of illustrious Greek director Costa-Gavras, <\/span><b>Romain Gavras<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has gravitated toward material and projects as political and hard-hitting as his father&#8217;s.\u00a0 In 1994, at the age of 13, he co-founded the Kourtrajm\u00e9 film collective, supporting grassroots filmmaking in the underprivileged outer-city and \u2014 since 2018, on the initiative of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Athena<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> cowriter, Ladj Ly \u2014 making vocational training accessible to a new generation of young film artists. Gavras began making his own shorts in 2001.\u00a0 He has directed numerous award-winning, often brutal, music videos for such artists as M.I.A., Jay-Z, Kanye West and Jamie xx, as well as commercials for the likes of Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Adidas and Louis Vuitton. In 2008, he directed <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Cross the Universe<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a documentary on the French electronic music duo Justice.
