“To the Organizers of the American French Film Festival, “My favorite part about the program is that we get to improve our French vocabulary in a fun and interesting way while getting to experience a story. Thank you for providing this experience to French students. It helps us learn French in a fun way.” (2019, Redondo Union High School)

On behalf of the 8th grade French and Films classes at Southeast Middle School in South Gate, California, we would like to extend our sincerest gratitude for the opportunity to attend this film festival.

The students had a great time watching the film and going to the Director’s Guild. They felt so special being some of the first Americans to watch Le Comte de Monte-Cristo and they truly enjoyed the film. One of our students had a chance to ask the panel a question during the Q&A and some of our students had a chance to pose for a photo with the panelists after.

After the film, students were asked to share their favorite part and write a brief thank you note, as seen HERE.

We hope to join you all again next year for another incredible French film!

Sincerely,
