Move over Howard Hawks! Lucas Bernard<\/strong>‘s second feature is a fast-talking screwball romp that zigzags across the globe and under the seas, following the vehemently non-romantic shenanigans of a happy-go-lucky flight steward and an intransigent tactical submarine officer. Ever-fearless when it comes to comedy, Pio Marma\u00ef turns in his best Cary Grant charmer as the womanizing steward, and Eye Ha\u00efdara is a modern-day Rosalind Russel, intent on safeguarding her career-gal status, in this fresh take on a breathless \u2013 and very funny \u2013 good old-fashioned romantic comedy.<\/p>\n

Writer-director Lucas Bernard<\/strong> began his career in various camera department positions, served as cinematographer on several shorts, and was director of photography on Ren\u00e9 F\u00e9ret’s feature film Anton Chekhov 1890<\/em> (2015). In 2009, he wrote the script for St\u00e9phanie De Fenn’s short Canicule de cheval<\/em>, and in 2013, wrote and directed the short film, La Place du Mort<\/em>.
